A strategic thinker and an eco-friendly designer, Shipra Kukreja is best known in the industry for sustainable fashion and ethical design practices in her professional endeavours. In addition to being a NIFT alumna, she holds a Masters’ degree in fashion design from Nottingham Trent University, UK. She is also a Fellow with the HEA (Higher education academy), UK and has completed her PG certification in higher education from Kingston University (UK).
Shipra is currently the creative head and co-founder of Posse Esse baby boutique, an organic baby accessory brand, promoting the use of chemical free and natural materials that retails out of India and the UK. She has been a proud recipient of the prestigious Charles Wallace India
Trust Grant(UK) in 2009 for her project on up-cycling Indian sarees as a means of sustainability and restoring Indian hand woven fabrics and dying craft. She was also the founder for the Ethical Fashion Forum’s (EFF) monthly socials in India around the same time. More recently
Shipra was selected for the first batch of the Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment’s (WEE) 3 month intensive program in 2016, which is a first of its kind social national initiative by IIT Delhi to strengthen the women eco system.
With an experience of over 15 years, Shipra has donned various hats in the industry. She has worked as a senior designer with a US based e-commerce brand and an upscale importer for high street stores in the UK amongst others. She has headed a team of designers and trend
analysts and has also worked on many independent consultancy projects.
