For Undergraduate Programmes
Candidates who have passed their Class XII Examination (or equivalent) in any stream (Science, Commerce, Humanities or Arts) are considered eligible to apply. Those who are appearing for their Class XII Examination in 2019 or are awaiting their results may also apply.
IIAD accepts students from any of the below listed Boards of Education:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)
- Indian State Boards
- National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
- Or any other approved National or International Board of Education
For Postgraduate Programmes
Candidates who have passed their Undergraduate Examination (or equivalent) or are appearing for it in 2019 in any discipline from any recognised Institute or University are considered eligible to apply.
Each year IIAD accepts a select number of students to its undergraduate programmes purely based on merit. It is therefore strongly recommended to begin the Application Process at an early stage to get the programme of your choice.
Candidates who wish to apply to the undergraduate programmes can submit their Application Form along with necessary documents by registering themselves at IIAD’s Online Application Portal.
Alternatively, interested candidates can visit the Campus, collect the Application Form and submit it along with necessary documents to the IIAD Admissions Office.
An Application Fee of INR 2,000 must be paid at the time of submission of the Application Form.
On successful completion of the Application Form candidates shall receive an acknowledgement email from the Admissions Team with relevant information.
Fee & Scholarship
The IIAD Entrance Examination is conducted at various Test Centres, and comprises the following parts/rounds based on programme of interest.
For Fashion Design, Communication Design and Interior Architecture & Design Applicants:
- Part A – IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT)
- Part B – Studio Simulation
‘Studio simulation test’ is a two-hour activity in which a group of 10-15 students are given a brief along with the material. Candidates are required to create a 3D model using that material under the supervision of the faculty. They will be judged on the basis of teamwork, creative thinking, innovation & problem-solving skills.
For Fashion Management Applicants:
- Part A – iMAT – IIAD Management Aptitude Test
- Part B – Personal Interview
For Fashion Business Management Applicants: Phase 1 – Students need to take an entrance test that is iMAT. This is IIAD Management Aptitude Test which will test your language, logical reasoning and creativity thinking. This is a written exam of two hours. This test is conducted at various centers across the country as per the schedule. Phase 2: Students who appear in written iMAT must also appear for the Personal Interview at the IIAD campus in New Delhi.
