Prof. Anne Boddington visited IIAD on a number of occasions to initiate the staff development programme as envisaged in the collaboration with Kingston University. She conducted two day intensive workshops on faculty and academic quality development. She interacted with the faculty and helped them understand the Quality Assurance parameters that British education is benchmarked against. She also helped explain how IIAD could follow those benchmarks to create an innovative design school teaching a global curriculum.
Prof. Boddington has conducted a series of workshops on the “Future of Design Education” for the India Design Council (IDC) in conjunction with the British Council on its India – UK Design Education Workshop Series initiative.
Prof. Anne Boddington is an architect and geographer by education with extensive experience in design education and design research in higher education across the UK and the globe. She is an experienced creative leader and has offered her expertise in the creative and cultural field in various trustee and governance roles essayed over the years.
Some of the positions she has held in the past are Advisory Board member of UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), AHRC, UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), Advance HE, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), an affiliate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), a member of the executive of the Council for Higher Education in Art & Design (CHEAD) and a member of the advisory board and peer review college of the Arts & Humanities Research Council, member of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ),current Chair of the Research Excellence Framework (REF)2021 Sub Panel for Art & Design: History, Practice & Theory to name a few. She is currently also a trustee of the Design Council
