Fashion Communication
She is an alumna of the MA Fashion Technology Programme at the prestigious London College of Fashion. She has worked within the fashion industry both in design and communication for numerous brands in India and the UK, most notably J W Anderson. She has profound expertise working with various materials ranging from glass to industrial mesh to traditional Indian textiles and strives to create a trinity between Craft, Materiality, and Fashion.
Her collaborators include leading mesh manufacturer Cadish, Glass artist Rashmi Dey and many other traditional Indian craft clusters. She is the co-partner and collaborator for the London based Indian Artist Harri, for whom she worked with the bicentennial craft of Woodturning from Channapatna in South of India, recognized by UNESCO and WTO. This collaboration led to a series of creations ranging from small sculptures to intricate wearables, showcased during the London Fashion Week A/W 20. This was also featured in multiple international publications like Vogue, ID, Dezeen,BBC , Dazed and Hypebeast.
Following her academic and professional turn, she joined the department of fashion at IIAD, where she mainly facilitates visual and mixed media communication for the graduate portfolio programme. Often she uses speculative design as a medium as well as a methodology to help students present fresh perspectives.
