As part of the Kingston University faculty visit programme, Dr Abrams visited IIAD to interact with the students of the Communication design Dept. He conducted workshops on illustration animation, which are his specialisations. He spoke about the rapidly growing market for communication designers and the essential universal visual and verbal skills that a designer should know.
Dr Abrams is an experienced educator holding a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a National Art Design and Media Teaching Fellowship (ADMHEA), and a Kingston University Teaching Fellowship. He has taught nationally and internationally and currently teaches on the multi-award winning BA Illustration Animation course at Kingston.
Alongside this, he has maintained an active practice and profile as an illustrator, designer and artist working for the The Independent, The Times, The Guardian, and Blueprint and he continues to hold exhibitions at home and abroad.
