Aarti Uberoi is a multi-disciplinary design practitioner with over two decades of experience as a consultant, academician and entrepreneur. An alumna of Massey University, New Zealand and NIFT, New Delhi. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Her professional practice spans over 22 years and has provided her with a broad range of experiences engaging with national and international clients in the area of design strategy, product design, book design, packaging, branding and advertising design. She has worked on projects
ranging from illustrations to installations, with both small and large scale businesse iin New Zealand like Co-Design, National Museum TePapa, Remax Real estate, TradeAid and Penguin publications. In India she has worked on multiple campaigns and product development for social innovation and sustainability for Development Alternatives, UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) sponsored, Ogaan, and TBZ amongst many others. She co-founded a multi-
disciplinary design consultancy N’visage Design consultants and an entrepreneurial venture ‘Twoforjoy’. She returned to higher education to teach full-time in 2012 as part of a team to help set-up the undergraduate communication design programme at Pearl Academy, Noida and thereafter at IIAD, Delhi.
Aarti’s career trajectory is a reflection of her ability to succeed in a dynamic environment. She feels that “Design” must be meaningful and is a powerful tool, a way of life and derives joy in using it for the benefit of those that surround us. In her endeavor to keep herself abreast of the ever evolving industry and business practices she is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to upgrade her skill and works as a design practitioner in the industry.
