Students of IIAD attended an interesting Seminar on ‘The Purpose of Design’ addressed by Amit Gulati, a renowned Industrial Designer and founder of Incubis Consultants (a design and architecture consulting firm) that has prestige projects like the Indira Gandhi International Airport and Medanta to their credit. Through case studies of the innovative approaches adopted by Amit and his team, he emphasized the value of ‘empathy’ in design, the ‘consequences’ of design and the factors to keep in mind when coming up with Design ideas that create impact. While at IIAD, Amit also evaluated and commented on a ‘lighting’ project completed by the students of BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design.
