Upasana Sharma comes from an art background and holds a degree in Bachelor in Fine Arts from the prestigious College of Art, New Delhi. She has over 9 years of industry experience and has worked extensively in the fields of Brand Identity, Print, Packaging, Exhibition Design, and Website Design etc.
Her Branding experience includes engagements with organisations such as National Museum, Savitri Cinema, Kainoosh Restaurant, The Hungry Traveller Food Truck, Lifestyle brand Varya, The Oberoi New Delhi, Rahat Charity, just to name a few.
Her work on Space and Exhibition design includes ‘Raja Deen Dayal Show,’ a three-month exhibition in IGNCA and ‘Celebrating Hussain’, Delhi Art Gallery - DLF Emporio.
While working with Dorling Kindersley (DK) for over 4 years, she rendered her book designing expertise on imminent published work like the American war of Independence, Art: A Visual History, History of world in 1000 objects, Queen Elizabeth 2 and the Royal family, Mushroom and Toadstools, among others.
An avid painter, Upasana has also designed merchandise for National Museum Shop, Mehrangarh Fort Museum Shop and catalogues and coffee table books for Art Galleries such as Gallery Espace, Latitude 28, Khoj, and Aicon Gallery, London.
She has a keen interest in astrology and spends her spare time reading books. She firmly encourages students to observe, explore and discover the world as it aids the process of sharpening aesthetics and composition. Guiding them through the fundamentals of layout and typography, she urges budding designers to build their own style.
