The Human Project
Students of the Fashion Design Programme at IIAD got an opportunity to work with the Creative Director of Handmade in Britain, Piyush Suri, for a 2 week long module. Piyush helped the students assimilate their design sensibility and conceptual thinking while honing their skills of self-reflection and articulation of design using words. He also gave them insights on connecting with oneself at an emotional level and weaving design stories while working on their project for better results. The students also worked on an interesting project called the Little Black Dress, wherein they designed two garments for fictional characters, taking inspiration from their individual hypothetical life stories and professions. The entire collection was presented through an engaging Fashion Show, conceptualized and choreographed by Piyush Suri himself. Click here to watch the video.
