With close to two decades of specialised experience in the fashion industry and varied exposure with key fashion brands, Naveen Dohare has carved his space in the fashion space as a designer to reckon with. Staying abreast with new trends and technology in the field of design and particularly fashion, has added a new dimension to his existing design repertoire.
After graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFT), New Delhi, Naveen went on to work with multiple brands in the capacity of a designer, visual merchandiser and fashion consultant. Over the years he has worked as a visual merchandiser with United Colors of Benetton, taken the responsibility of a consultant and conceptualized the visual merchandising manual for Easyday, designed and developed corporate uniforms for brand promotions of Glenlivet Premium Whisky (UK) as well as United Beverages (Bangalore) for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week.
Amongst the many accolades he has garnered during his professional tenure, the notable ones include the Ritu Kumar Award for excellence in design as well as the Madura Garments Award best menswear collection.
Currently he is offering his expertise as a Principal Designer and Consultant with brands like YepMe, Marvel Comics and Swarovski to name a few.
At IIAD, he would play an integral role in mentoring and sharing his experiences of the fashion industry with the students of the Fashion Design programme and contribute towards their growth as culturally aware designers.
