A keen academician and designer by profession, Bhavna Yadav has to her credit valuable years of international exposure in the field of art and design. She holds a Masters in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland and has even pursued a Diploma in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi. In addition to these qualifications, she has also completed her Bachelor's in Sociology from University of Delhi, and Masters in Political Science from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
An educator by profession, Bhavna Yadav has never stopped exploring opportunities to interact and engage with students across the board. She has taught students across various grades by integrating different media, materials and technology in her method of instruction. With an extensive experience in mentoring students across countries like South Africa and USA, Bhavna has developed her core expertise in designing and interpreting the curriculum to suit the needs of the concerned students. She has also conducted various art workshops over the years that were aimed at improving three dimensional and fine motor skills of the students involved.
Owing to her academic background in design, Bhavna has worked with creatively driven companies in the capacity of a Product Designer and Merchandiser. During her association with these design companies, Bhavna has contributed towards the design and development of home accessory collections in metal, wood, leather and brass. She has also worked on a number of freelance projects that involved designing posters, menu cards, brochures and strategizing the overall brand identity for the client.
Besides her design practice, she has also had the opportunity of being associated with various design schools in the country as a Guest Faculty and has mentored budding designers on the myriad design concepts and subject matters like Material Manipulation, Design Studio and Project Mentoring to mention a few. At IIAD, Bhavna will be actively engaging with the Foundation Year design students and introducing them to the various design principles and concepts and mentor them while they embark on a journey to find their individual design voices.
