Kishore Chakraborty, a sculptor from Kolkata, was a senior fellow in sculpture in the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and was awarded the Charles Wallace India Trust (by British Council of India) Award to work in a professional sculpture workshop in United Kingdom - Berllandery Sculpture Workshop. He has received awards from many institutions and organizations for his two and three dimensional works. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in India and abroad along with his national and international solo shows. For the last few years he has been continuously invited as an external examiner (sculpture jury) by national universities and art colleges. Kishore has bagged a number of national and international camps, residencies and talks. He has worked as an associate professor in leading design Institutes in Delhi. Presently he works and lives in Delhi NCR.

Kishore has cmpleted his graduation and post graduation (Visual Arts) in sculpture from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkota, He specialises in Sculpture, Paintings, Photography, Video installation/ Multimedia, Education.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and PRACTICE-LED EDUCATION and RESEARCH

2012- 14 Worked as an Associate Professor at Pearl Academy, New Delhi , India.
2104 – Participated in International New Media Art Show , Barbados, West Indies
2008-10 - Awarded Senior Fellowship in Sculpture from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India
2001 – Illustrated talk (slide show ) at Cardiff College of Arts , Heywards Garden Campus , South wales U.K.
2001-02 - Awarded Charles Wallace India Trust award to work in a professional
sculpture workshop for six months in United Kingdom, Berllandery Sculpture Workshop, South of Wales
1994- Awarded junior Fellowship in Sculpture from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India
1996 –Awarded Garhi Research Grant (by Lalit Kala Akademy, New Delhi)
